Our Story

Hi there!

It’s great to meet you, I’m so happy you’re here. I’m Jordan, and I created The Golden Fin.

I found it difficult to find my place in college. I had no idea what I wanted to study. I changed my major a handful of times. Then it hit me: Marine Biology. Learn to understand more about the ocean and the life that exists there. No brainer. Enter Biology 101, and basic math. You've lost me. I dropped out of that biology class. I changed majors once again. Lost and confused, I felt like I was back at square one, so I filled my schedule with electives. I had a new found love for marketing, entrepreneurship, and all things business. 

After graduation, I took my first trip to Florida in 2016. I’ve been obsessed with the ocean, and all things marine life ever since. Every chance I get to go on a trip back to my favorite beach, I take it. Returning for three separate trips in 2018, I knew I had an undeniable love for the sea. 

It wasn't until June of 2022 that I decided to take the jump and combine my two passions of business and the ocean. *Insert hours of research and studying, and a big shout out to my mentors here*. The Golden Fin was established November 30, 2022. 

Extensive research went into this project. Finding sustainable products and materials without sacrificing quality was a non-negotiable. Thank you so much for being here. It truly means the world, and the ocean, to me.
